DEBRA Canada is an Oakville-based registered charity helping families locally and across Canada who are affected by the rare and very painful skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Let’s Bring the Community Together to Show our Support!

Join us in downtown Bronte Village in Oakville for the 1st Annual Walk for EB fundraising event. Please note, this is a family-friendly 5 km walk which will start and finish at the Taste of Colombia - Fair Trade Coffee & Gift Shop in downtown Bronte Village. Your participation will help us make a big impact and continue to grow our programs and services to improve the quality of lives of those affected by EB.

Details

Date: Sunday, October 18, 2026

Where: Registration check-in starts at the Taste of Colombia – Fair Trade Coffee & Gift Shop (67 Bronte Rd, Oakville, ON L6L 3B7).

Time: 10 a.m. – 12 noon. (Registration check- in 10-11am, walk will start at 11am (walk will take approximately 1 hour).

Participant Gift: all registered participants will receive a “Walk for EB T-shirt” at check-in. 

What to Bring: Yourself (with comfortable walking shoes of course), a water bottle (optional) and your fundraising spirit!

How Can I Sign Up to Walk for EB?

Two Easy Ways to Register/Participate

Option #1 Become a Fundraiser/ Create a Walk for EB Fundraising Page

By selecting this option, you become a valuable part of our fundraising team. Share your fundraising page via email and on your social media to your network of family, friends, and help us raise even more funds for our programs & services to support all Canadian families affected by EB. We would like to thank you in advance for selecting this option. If you raise a minimum of $65 in donations, OR donate a minimum $65 to a supporters fundraising page,  you will receive a complimentary Walk for EB registration. Click here to create your fundraising page.

Option #2: Individual Sign-Up (Non- Fundraising Page Option)

Make a one-time registration payment. Adult registration cost - $65.00, Youth (under 18-years) is $30.00. Click here to register.
